Mission
The fundamental purpose of Skills Foundation, Inc. is to accumulate assets to encourage, support, foster the work of, and exist for the benefit of Skills, Inc. Skills Foundation, Inc. is established to receive and maintain funds of real and personal property to be used to promote the general welfare of persons with disabilities and disadvantages and to foster the development of programs on their behalf.

Purpose
Skills Foundation, Inc. was established in 1990 to provide a vehicle for the acquisition of assets for the benefit of persons with disabilities and disadvantages. The organization primarily assists in the financing of programs and services provided through Skills, Inc.; however, occasionally provides funds to organizations with missions consistent with the mission of Skills, Inc.

Skills Foundation, Inc. encourages, supports, and fosters the work of Skills, Inc. Income is used to promote the general welfare of persons with disabilities and disadvantages. This is accomplished through fostering the development of programs on their behalf, encouraging research related to persons with disabilities and disadvantages, advising and aiding parents in their solution of their problems and to coordinate their efforts and activities, and developing a better public understanding of the problems confronted by persons with disabilities and disadvantages. Skills Foundation, Inc. cooperates with all public, private, and religious organizations and professional groups in the furtherance of these ends.
